Jude 3, 1Kings 19:18. At various intervals, throughout the past centuries, the followers of the Apostolic Faith and Doctrines have been prominent, and prevalent through great revivals that have appeared in Great Britain, United States and Canada.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;<font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the days of Tertullion (A.D. 207) Chrysostom (4th Century), Christians of the 13th century, the early Quakers, Wesley Whitefield, and Irving, the Gifts and Manifestations of the Apostolic Church were much in evidence as the Revival Spirit swept over the country.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;"><font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In Kansas (1901) the revival broke forth and moved Southward to Texas, being known locally only, but finally reached Los Angeles, California (1906),from whence it spread throughout the whole earth, entering into almost every nation under Heaven. Penetrating the Heathen Darkness of India, China, and Africa, and the Isles of the Sea, fulfilling the Commission of our Lord, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15-20, Matthew 28: 18-19, Luke 24:47-49 , Acts 1:4-11, and proclaiming the soon coming of the Lord.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<font color="#ffffff"> So great has been the awakening, that at this present time, almost every city, town and country - place have witnesses to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, as in Acts 2:4 on the Day of Pentecost thus fulfilling Joel 2:28-29.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;"><font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Our only aim and desire is to Glorify God, our Saviour, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works, that we should showforth the praise of him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;"><font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, was organized for a foundation for the "Unity" of all believers of the "Oneness Movement" under the Church Name that best reveals the complete Foundation of the Church, showingthat the Church of Jesus Christ is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief Corner Stone.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <font color="#ffffff">The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ was the desire and sentiment of many for a church name. This was proven by&nbsp;a strange happening, which occurred about the same time, and in the same month, October 1925</font>.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;"><font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; There was another body of ministers and workers of the same faith whomet together from three states,&nbsp;in Houston, Texas, who also chose the name of The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ for their organization. These brethren soon learned that it was impossible for them to obtain a charter for this name as the same was being chartered in the State of Missouri. They then selected another name for their organization with headquarters in theSouthern part of the country. They became known as "The Emmanuel's Church in Jesus Christ." Two years passed and these two bodies were brought into acquaintance with each other.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;"><font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Soon, means of a consolidation were sought for by the brethren of both organizations.&nbsp;In Norphlet, Arkansas, in the month of May 1927, a special called joint conference convened for the purpose of discussing plans andways of uniting both of&nbsp;these organizations into one. This joint conference met&nbsp;in Guthrie, Oklahoma, in October 1927.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;"><font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; These two gatherings proved to be a blessing in getting the brethren acquainted with each other, and learning more about the aims and objects of both organizations, which prove to be the same in most every instance</font>.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <font color="#ffffff">The main feature of these gatherings was the blessed Spirit of fellowship that prevailed. The uniting of these two movements at the Guthrie, OK, Conference was hindered in some respects, but the desire for a closer fellowship pulled to the extent that another joint conference of the aboveruled bodies convened&nbsp;in Port Arthur, Texas, in Oct. 1928, at which time the Glory of the Lord came down, and every obstacle was removed which had prevented a complete consolidation of The Emmanuel's Church of Jesus Christ and The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ into one great body of Christian Workers and Ministers of the Apostolic Faith throughout the entire country.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;&nbsp;<font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp; At this conference&nbsp;in Port Arthur, TX, more than eighty ministers and workers were present fully realizing the great need of all of God's people of this faith to stand firm for the old-time Apostolic Doctrine and Fellowship. This was proven by all present, without a single voice against it when they again chose The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ,&nbsp;for their church name.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;"><font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Hearts were bound together, friction between the brethren seemed to be unknown, and perfect love prevailed. Following the conference at Port Arthur, Texas, the Third Annual Conference of The Apostolic Church ofJesus Christ convened at 1100 Hickory Street, St. Louis, Missouri, October 31, 1928, and continued for several days. With a voice of thanksgiving and praise to the Lord for the blessed Hand of God, which directed this great accomplishment, all rejoiced</font>.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;<font color="#ffffff">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A good delegation from the states were present at this conference and their motto was, "Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." With Apostolic Doctrine, Apostolic Aim, and Apostolic Fellowship, this Body of Christian Ministers and Workers were determined to obtain Apostolic Results.</font></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: white; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p> <p><font style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);" color="#ffffff"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(255, 204, 0); font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <font color="#ffffff">The above brief History of The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, was unanimously adopted at 2415 S.
